I gotta be honest, before the lace was a little too busy for me on the panels. I loved it still just becasue I love the style and the colors are gorgeous. I can only imagine how they look in person. But with the inward fades on the panel, it dulled the lace down and looks perfect. Are the side panels getting fades as well? Then alabone flake over the entire car? Mint.

  7. Kirk,
Awards are cool, but the real award is gonna be seeing everybodys faces when they can't take their eyes off that car! Get ready for some BIG attention.

    Unfuckinbelievable.

I'd be so nervous working on that car -- worrying I might fuck something up and have to start all over.
Say you had to fix a scratch or something -- Painting or blending a panel on a car with "normal" paint would seem like a total piece of cake compared to what would have to be done on your car, KIRK. It is turning out to be quite a work of art.

    Props to all involved!

TMAN - "bolts" of fabric - your knowledge is fascinating. Spend a lot of time in fabric store?

Alex / Kirk - great job, the fade tones down the patterns and really takes the paint to the next level. What all that ran couldn't keep you guys from your fun!

    Gorgeous...
I love it with the lace pattern toned down by the candy blue and the fades.
Makes it so much more "subtile"
I cant wait to see how it will look with the side panels finished. But what I see so far looks stunning.

Great work by Alex and rest of the team.

  25. Holy crap! KIRK your car is awesome, truly beautiful. Can't wait to see it in person sometime.

Awesome car/work! All the lace jobs coming out, I'm going to have to go with endless line panels on my next car to stay ahead of the game!:D

Breaking News Flash!!! Two missing hot rod men found inside body shop!! It now appears the seclusion was planned and the time was spent laboring on a beautiful custom 1960 Ford Starliner Coupe!! The two have transformed the auto into a extreme painted creation using methods unknown to most. Lace panels and blinding metalflake paint have been used to make probably the most talked about auto for the 08 hotrod season. The men said they would be exhibiting the beauty at several exhibitions upcoming!! Watch for it at a town near you!!

  30. Kirk, I can just see you all cleaned up, smelling pretty, cruizin' for boys in your lace monstrosity.
Who are the manly men with facial hair and tattoo's in the pics? They sort of dirty up the whole thing.... from an artsy-fartsy point of view.

This is gonna end up being my alltime favorite car, your car is automotive porn my man.
