And make it a foot shorter with the angle cut going the other way with a flame thrower system on it so you could ignite the gas tank and go up like on CHiPs!

It has to be #2. When the onlookers are standing in front you can blow exhaust to curl up their noses.

Thanks for the laugh, I needed it .... a couple of minutes on Photoshop and I like this....more natural curve to flow of pipe terminating at end of body to make exhaust patina on tank.....sorry about using your pic, will delete, but I'm a visual guy....

    The car rules.

I like what hotrd32 has done.
I'm sure you tried it already but, what about running it a just little bit lower? Not pointing up so much and tucked behind the tire.

    Kirk,

Looks like you're running the same gas tank that I am, they come primed, but they are galvonized, and look better, imho, if you just strip the paint and run naked.

I have always loved my friend Bob Wrights roadster exhaust (1948), obviously different engine (Cadillac) but the beauty and business like under statement just looks right....H.A.M.B. right?....

I don't know what you guys are using to get the creative juices flowing, but it should be illegal. and I want some, ;)

I agree with furbiscuit that the pipe needs to curve the whole way back. it does not look right to have it curve and then run straight.

You can bend that pipe if you fill it with DRY sand and cap it with a little room for the sand to expand. Then heat the pipe and bend it. Make one cap a wood plug that will pop off if the sand expands to much. Do not use wet sand, may go boom!

    Other wise it looks good.

I personally would love to see Matt make a rear for the body.

but if not, I think the suggestion of two sphere shaped gas tanks on the back would really complete the theme.

And that car above is one of my favorites, but it could use a longer and more curved exhaust too. Not that he was looking for opinions.

Kirk I vote for #4, but that's only cause you didn't incorporate a bottle opener on 1 thru 3

#1. What's better than a megaphone? Hmm... maybe a megaphone with handlebars. And spiderwebs for permanent rat rod ruler status.

How are you gonna get the drivers door open? Run it under the car and put those fishy tailfin thingys on the ends. Then extend that bolt on the axle then you have a buddy peg like in the bmx bike days and the p***enger can double as a fender

  25. I think you will have issues with heating the gas and/or heating the tire if you bring the pipe along side the tank or kick the end out towards the tire. Remember vintage race cars had continuous air flow during a race which probably negated the fuel tank heating issue.
If you were a poser, I wouldn't be concerned....but as a hard core driver, think of the heat issues before you blow something up.

It's about 6 inches from the tank and I don't think it will get hot enough to cause a fire/explosion. I sure don't want to find out the hard way though.

  27. I would like the #2 version with the pipe kinda curlyQd like one of the old squeeze bulb horns and maybe a gun site for parallel parking to avoid grinding the pipe.

If you run a pipe uphill and it rains, the guy parked behind you with the lace candy paint job ain't going to like you.

How about a modified version of #2? With a sliding pipe, with a bell on the end, kinda like a trombone. You could play a tune on it as you drive . . . as long as you had an asbestos glove that is.

  30. Mount a rusty tractor seat over the tire with the handle bar option and a little ringy bell or maybe a Bulb horn.
