Event Coverage UPDATE - CANCELLED!! Is the Winfield/Watson gathering still on?

With Gene selling his place and an online auction scheduled for the same day as the show, does anyone know if the gathering is still happening? I've called every number and emailed every address that I can find with no response. I'll be driving down from the SF Bay Area so it'd be nice to know if anyone will be there before I start the 400 mile trek!

Yeah, that's an older flyer and I have that. According to the last thread that got closed, Gene's having an online auction for some of his stuff on that same day, Oct 7th. Just thought that was kinda odd, the online auction and the gathering both on the same day. The wife and I are going anyway. We'll spend the night in Mojave, attend the gathering on Saturday (if it's there) then travel down through the desert, hit San Diego and come back up along the coast. Should be a good road trip!

 

UPDATE: THE WINFIELD/WATSON GATHERING IS CANCELLED!!
Just got off the phone with the Dave the president of the RodTossers (sponsoring club). It's officially cancelled. There will be a live auction going on that day as Gene is selling off some of his stuff. Nothing from the museum or any specialty tools......just stuff (probably some pretty neat stuff)!
