Well it has kinda been slow on progress but I have been trying to keep going as I can. The car is officially of the jack stands as of last night. I pretty much got it all wired, started getting all the fenders, running boards on, got the generator tension belt arm which I hope was the last hard thing that had to be done. Also got my linkage adjusted and hooked up, the driveshaft is cut and in, the carb cleaners done, I have to replace some bushing on the rear springs. Took a couple days to figure out that the rear springs are from a 1949 Ford. So I got to go to Arlington to pick some bushings up this after noon, change those out, install the hoses to radiator, Tighten some bolts down that are still loose and hopefully this car will officially move on its own power tomorrow night. Heres the latest pics as of last night actually sitting dwon on its own weight

You're a mad man! Shoot. I'll have to invite you over a few times to help me put the roadster together. Looks like just two evenings ought to be enough time the way you work!!

Can't wait to see (and hear) that thing down in Austin!

It's amazing that they can make an A/C compressor look like a generator these days!! ;) Who needs air when you have that bitchin flip out windshield? Lookin' good Rusty. You're an inspiration!! Tim :)

Thanks everyone. Hopefully the only ac this will have is 2-65 southbound 35 to Austin. Keep your fingers crossed and I think I can make it. I am running out of time and steam.

Go ahead and step on up to the 2-75. It might cost a bit more, but I hear it works a lot better.

Well it was another 3AM morning going to bed and having to be at work at 6. Man that sucks. I feel like a walking ZOMBIE, I was sweeping up my mess last night and fell asleep standing up. Got the parts off to got to the chromer. Got more fender bolts ,etc put in. The rite exhaust manifoild came in and that took about 1 hour to get all situated. Got my new bushing for the rear spring hangers (need to install tonight), got the headlights wired in and terminated at both ends. Pulled the tailights and made up the lights to the lightswitch. I just have to add the hot to the brake light switch and hook it up. Car is going to the muffler shop today or tomorrow to get alittle exhaust. SHould be driving this sucker tomorrow sometime. It looks like it is gonna make it

Kick ass ride.........even the wheels (maybe a bit of scotchbrite to dull em' up) work.

Best of luck on the start up.
