Yep, bad components can hide problems. Wide wheels and big tires make it worse. Also big tires are harder to balance and keep balanced. They can make a big problem out of a small problem.
Most lift kits do have the things to keep the caster right or close to right. But that’s the thing….minor changes in castor can make big problems or solve big problems.
Plus any straight axle , under the right conditions, could wobble! That is why the OEMs put stabilizers on four wheel drives from the factory!

If this was true then factories would have put them on any vehicle with a solid front axle. They put stabilizers on 4x4's because of the larger diameter and width of the front tires that exaggerate bump input to the steering wheel and stabilizers dampen that effect.

That's so true, the damper shock is not THE correct fix! They might "dampen" the wobble but not the correct fix. I have seen hundreds of death wobble cases as a front end man all my life & every car & truck rarely has the same fix for the problem. You need to start with a very thorough "shakedown" for the slightest slack in everything, it doesn't take much. check tires & wheels for runout & balance. Set caster at least 8 degrees+ & you should be there.
