I've been chugging away on this sedan. It won't be too much longer before it's time to take it apart for bodywork. I made up a little filler piece to fill the gap between the body and the deuce tank. I got to use my new shrinker/stretcher on it. Today I got the pedals mounted. I incoperated the pedal mount all the way across the cowl to turn the other side into a "glove shelf" instead of putting a glove box in the dash. With the dash in, the shelf is completely hidden.
So, the shelf is hidden...no door? You have to reach up and under? Looks like you've done some killer fabrication there - kudos! Can we see more pics of the green pickup?
Thanks. Yeah, just reach up. My green truck is pretty well do***ented here in HAMB land. Just look up some of my other threads.
I got a little more done. Mounted the steering column, please ignore the ***-ugly mullet master steering wheel. I took it all apart yesterday to finish up the frame work. Mock up phase is officially over. Too bad I hate body work.
looks really nice and clean. you will want to add some more bracing to the pedal mounts. there is a lot of force on them. a good test is to put a pipe plug in the master with it full of fluid and have some one push on the pedal. if there is any flexing you need to brace it more.
