hey guys though you may want to know a little more about the Pontiac . We purchased the Pontiac from a local guy( we will call Bob) that was building 3 cars at the same time , I was after the Pontiac for months before Bob would sell it, finally Bob caved and sold it to me. I really don't know why I wanted a Pontiac other than it was a little different than the usual chevy's or fords that you see plus at the time it had a 427. Bob sold me the car but without the 427 that's the only way the deal was getting done.

As of now the Pontiac sits on a 69 camaro frame with disc brakes in front, drums and coil overs in the rear, it got a modified chevy 350, 4 link suspension. We (my family) decided to go with a tan leather custom interior so thats new and currently were installing power steering and brakes now, oh yeah and the car is satin black with most of the body trim shaved.

We all wanted to share with you guys out there. This Pontiac is a family car through and through, we all have enjoyed watching it transformation into a family custom. We wanted to say thanks for the great ideas / history lessons that we have received from this site

39 Pontiacs make great cruisers, nice and roomy. Built this one for a friend of mine about 8 years ago, got quite a few miles on it now. I love the grill on these. IMG_0711.JPG IMG_0709.JPG

Yup, they make great cruisers, I built a '39 mor door, big body, with a 350/350 pontiac set up, fun car. Drove it from St. Louis to Portland Oregon then to San Antonio Texas....great trips!..Miss it.:(

Awesome poncho, this is kinda the look in going with as well I plan on reprinting it Washington blue but in satin. I can't tell by the pics if your top is chopped or not.

Yeah, it's chopped, 3 1/2 if I remember right. FWIW 454 big block, 700r4*******, 3.50 gear. Surprisingly, it still will break 20MPG running 75/80 MPH with the air on. Real nice highway car!
