He is saying that he installed a modified 605 power steering kit from Gearheads Cruiser Products and the thing was nothing but problems. I had the same problem with the same kit for my Tbird. (google "gearheads cruiser products" and you will see the post he is referring to).
Anyway, he junked the 605 and put in a Rack & pinion kit from Rick Wurth and a few other mods.

    Thanks for the translation. :)

That Wurthit Rack & Pinion kit is quite spendy. I've seen someone fab up their own brackets and use a (I think) early '90s Pontiac Grand Am rack & pinion. Looked like a nice installation. With some thought, simple fabrication, and ingenuity, it could be done much cheaper than buying the kit. Just my opinion....
What the hell do I know, though. I'm still running the (rebuilt) original steering gear in my Galaxie. Works just fine.

Not only that, but Wurth has some serious issues. I hear he went bankrupt, lost his ol'lady, his home, and his shop, and probably his dog too. I also heard he is trying to set up shop somewhere else. Thats the same rack he uses, where the tie rods mount in the center of the rack. I tried to get him to get going on the 58-60 Tbird kit that his web site had on it for the last five years "in the works" but I gave up on that bull **** and went another route. I got a CPP box for the 55-57 Chevy, positioned it in the proper location, drilled a couple of new holes and reinforced it a bit. All for $350.

The same can be done with a late 90's Jeep Grand Cherokee box from what I've read.
