Douglas was building aircraft long before McDonnell (Not McDonald) got its start in the business and amalgamated with Douglas. I thik you will find that it is a DC-3 wheel, though the basic shape was used in a few of Douglas's aircraft. Doc.

Cool idea,one thing I can tell you you won't like the wheel. We put one just like it in our Hamb dragster. It was a ***** to turn even in a dragster that goes straight most of the time.
Great job guys. The 38 Plymouth grille and the poly motor (along with the killer interior) are nice touches.
i love that motor. i have a hy-fire 270 poly in my plymouth. very cool, strong as hell and reliable. i've only seen one other in an open hood car....
