Update on Daisy (lick of paint at last!)

Hiya folks

At long last got a bit of paint on Daisy

After finally picking a colour which lets everyone know it's a gal's truck.

Painted the firewall and inside the cab, so the next job is to put cab back on chassis put engine and gearbox back in and concentrate on painting the outside of the cab and the rest of it properly.

As you can see i have changed my mind about the colour of the engine but i think it works well.

So then, what about a bit of feed back about my colour choice

For a minute there, I thought those were pictures of Scooter's coupe .

That sure is different, personally i think its Taildraggin's choice as its a simular colour to the dress he had on the last time i saw him!
R u at wheels day next week? if you are i'll bring the other reg plates for the roadster!

Yea were going to Wheels Day on Friday hoping to take the Poncho now that it's got a new Carb on it.

Wow, and just in time for Easter!

 

That looks like the color GM used on Geo Metros and S10s a few years back. I like it. But not the purple motor!

 

Lookin' Good! Can't wait to see her all finished & bolted together!! I think the engine complements the body color perfectly!

 

No need for a sticker in the window saying "No this isn't my boyfriend's truck!"...there's no doubt that this is a chick-mobile...

Yes, I see what you mean about this being a lady's lorry.

The two openings on the driver's side of the dash do rather remind one of a pair of breasts, don't they.

I first opened the post and seen it I thought very nice might be I wouldn't mind that on my own rig then started to read the comments about it being a girls color! LOL

 

I like it! What's the plan for the valve cover???

 

use that same purple for some scallops or flames and that would be a sweet ride.

Plan for valve cover is chrome look maybe with some pinstripping in the pink??? not sure any ideas send my way.

I agree with Classy56, Use a little (not alot) of the purple on the body of the truck to tie it into the motor...maybe some purple striping.

Not a bad color,tittie pink is always better than bubble gum pink!

 

I kinda like it, kinda different.. Do me a favor, when the truck is complete, dont buy*****ty**** daisy flower stickers and put them around the truck, ruins the nice paint

Hey Rat Rodder i like to be kinda different but i know what would ruin a decent paint job!!! (no flowers on my truck )

Thinking of doing running boards, grill, GMC markings, Gearstick and Steering column and any little****essories in the purple to tie the two colours together.

Glad to have positive feedback from you lot (was a bit worried about the shade of colour)
