I just wanted to thank everybody here on the HAMB that responded, and helped out with information when I needed help finding my cars. I have found the 52 Chevy sedan deliv. and will be picking it up in the morning. It was being parted out, but at least it is not all gone. Thanks to guys from the Barons car club, and The Lone Star Lords for the tips, phone numbers, etc.. that led to me finally finding one of my cars. I am still missing the 27 roadster p/u with the HEMI, and the 50 Ford with the flat head, but I am sure by this time, they have been parted out. I still have not found Billy Tomes, and would still like to TALK with him, but what goes around comes around.. So, in time.. You guys here on the HAMB really did help, even if it was just an eye out at a swap meet or car show, so thanks. Hope none of you will have to go through something similar, but should I ever be able to help out in any way, you know I will be the first in line. I think I am going to go have a couple of beers now, so adios. Rik Aguilera
Glad to hear you at least got something back. It's also good to know that when someone puts the word out on the HAMB there are indeed thousands of eyes looking out for each other.
He was out and about 2 weeks ago at a local bar.. You might want to try hitting all the rockasilly shows he will show up.... He's looking for his next best-friend to try and screw over..
Rik, remember what I said. Think first! Glad you got some of it. If you need anything you have my support in whatever you need. Just call, you have the numbers. "When In Doubt Knock Em'Out!"
Thanks man. I have to really thank you guys in the Barons car club. Crease, Christian, Andy, etc.. You guys really helped in getting phone numbers, and leads to find my sedan. I have not given up on the other cars, but am now going to spend more time on building my next project. As far as finding billy at a local club or concert, I am looking. As well as others actually. Thanks for all the heads up. Rik
Glad to hear you found one...........i still would LOVE to get a holt to the *******s that stole my jeep.......my first new car.......the *******s....
Good to hear you've found a bit of your stuff....all the best in finding the rest. Make the thief hurt when you find him. Weren't there a few other cars that went missing a little while back? The theft/piracy BS that seems to be going on in the car world at the moment is absolute bulll****.
Thanks Krupa,. If I am not mistaken, did'nt you also lose out on some stuff with this chaos known as "Aces and Eights".? I have been doing so much investigating and talking to people, that I thought your car was one of the "missing parts" rides from there. If so, sorry to hear that as well. Regardless, thanks, and good luck. Rik
this may seem obvious, but who was parting it out? that, at least, is possession of stolen goods. bring up grand theft auto charges on him and the seller may produce the original thief in no time flat.
Trust me, that part was taken care of this weekend. In the end, I will have all that was taken from me, and then some. The patience part is the hardest, but it all seems to be working for now.
If you have a written contract... this Dude will be hung...! Is he behind bars yet...? What about his Dad... didn't he inherit many projects his Dad didn't finish? Dealing with this Crook is like eating a "**** Sandwitch"... and every day is another "Big Juicy Bite"...! Makes me wonder how many others this clown has ripped off...?
I posted on your original thread, and just to let you know, word thru the g****vine is Billy got popped for a DWI a few weeks ago, might check with SAPD or Bexar County for records of his arrest. Dont know if its true, but worth a shot.
Hey Rik, glad you got the sedan delivery. Hopefully some of the other stuff will show up too. I'm building a ch***is for Dondeva's '29 sedan....the green one with the white top and flathead. Aces and Eights did that ch***is and boy did it **** big time. There was at least 4 ways to die in that car. Check this out......the steering box broke off of the car as I was moving the car around in my shop. I couldn't believe my eyes! This is no exaggeration. I turned the steering wheel and heard a pop...the welds on the box mount broke away from the freshly painted frame. The welds had zero penetration. That was only one of the major problems.....so if you are driving one of the Aces and Eights cars, please at a minimum check your brakes and steering.
Congrats on getting at least some of your stuff back. I hope the s*** that took it will rot in hell. I feel your pain as I am the victim of a thief. I inherited my dad's 30 closed cab pickup in '02...drove the 1750 miles to Oregon to get it only to find it had been stolen...Never recovered a damn thing....yet. Rocky
Well from what I saw in your garage, I'd say it's all going to get corrected and put together the right way. You still collecting parts for your coupe? Dennis
