That fuel line looks very clean, very fast to take off the carbs I bet. nice work on the fire wall. This is the moyivation I needed to get working on my truck.. Thanks
I zeroed in on that collector in the first photo without even seeing what it was for. My first thought was "Why is is exhaust threaded?" Looks great!
When that little pic of the collector hit my cell phone last week, I couldn't tell what it was... looked like some sorta awesome Corvair motor or something on that little LCD display!! Had me wondering just what you were up to this time..!!??!! Like everything else you do, that's genius. Real glad to see that little truck coming together!!
the collector started out as a solid piece of stainless round bar.first i machine the outside taper, and threads.next was to machine the four rounded tube bosses.after that i machined the four holes for the tubes to go into.once that was done i machined an inside taper to allow the fuel to spread out to the four tubes.it is hard to decribe how much little work it takes to make this possiable, but i'll post a picture of the first one i did that didn't make the cut. thanks to all of you for your kind words.i get a real kick out showing off how the truck is comming along. -danny
Danny, That setup is so freakin awesome. I always encourage fabing up hardlines instead of flex lines whenever it's possible. I ***ume that is aluminum...great looking bends. Nice job! Also notice that you're using a 60's chevy truck master for clutch/brake on your truck. I have some questions for you about it. I will pm you.
Looks killer as always, Danny.....So where is the picture of the "collecter" that didn't make the cut? Matt
the lines are made from stainless.aluminum is way to hard to get small welds. feel free to give me a call about the master cyclinder setup,if you want. -danny 281 376-5932 shop
as soon as my piece of junk camera charges up,i'll post pictures of the collector.i promise. i could have gotten a new camera, but i bought an x-member from you instead.(got it in yesterday, looks good.thanks.) -danny
Danny, As always top notch. Isn't that a single master cylinder ? Someday I'd like to see one of these made into a dual mc.
A+++ on the craftsmanship!! And I like the header collector therory for the weld on the fuel fitting>>>>.
here are the pictures of the collector.the threads didn't cut strait,so i had to make a second one. -danny
Beutiful work Danny...I LOVE your attention to detail man, its the BEST !! Man A Fre Madness.....SANO work !! Rat
