Update on my 34 Ford 5W Coupe

    Are you going to put in a more stock looking firewall since its getting a flat motor and are you going to retain the 5 speed.

    I have a Stock firewall sitting in my garage ready to go in and I'm using the T-5 with a Flat O Products adapter kit.

    Great work! You are definitely making the right changes to this project. I really like the idea of a stock firewall going back in.

    Thanks..Yeah it just wasnt gonna look right with this recessed firewall.I'm glad I have Matt Seret to help on this project.Should be going to his shop next week.The engine is on its way there.

    Cant wait to see it done and the welds on the boxing plates on the frame looked a little scary to me.

    All thats getting redone.I have a full set of new boxing plates for the car from Welder Series.

    Thats why I cut all of them out in post #25. All the welds were cracked from the flex in the frame with the solid engine mounts.

    Nice project!

    Looks like you have a good idea of how you want the car to look and drive and are lining up the parts.

    Matt did a lot of metal work on my 36 Ford. He's a good guy, very talented and knows how to get the job done.

    I sure like the way you're taking your car. One of my favorite threads going. Doesn't get much better than a model 40 with a flattie. Nice Job!
