Kirby has been working hard on his Model A coupe project & sent me some pics last night. I'll let him jump in here to update on the details but I believe it goes without saying that this one is going to be nice.

His '34 5wd is in the GG Nashville coverage in the new R&C. That car is now in London, England. I hope he doesn't let this one get away from him. It's going to be a killer & (I hope) a keeper.

    Enjoy!!

Hope you don't mind a new guy jumping in here, Kirby's 34 5w is indeed in the UK, in fact it's down at the docks right now awaiting customs clearance, I'll be picking it up after the weekend as I'm the new owner, Just like to say what great people Kirby and his Dad are to deal with, as are all the folks we met in Tennessee back in June. Thanks guys.

    LP,

It's good to see you here. Welcome.

We want pictures of the '34 on the docks once you get it. That is a great car. You should get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Thanks Harrison, I did come over hoping to find something fresh to bring home, but never expected to find one as cool as that, it just ticked all the boxes for me, y'know. Even though its the most I've ever spent on one car (by a long way) you still couldn't build it again for even close that, especially over here. Pic's are no problem, I've promised Kirby I'll send him some of the car cruising England, maybe he'll post them.

    Wonderful ch***is!

Can you clue me in on the black colors/paints you used?

Do I see ch***is-black, gloss, and flat-header paint?

I think Kirby has mixed some satin pieces in with a bunch more that are gloss black. The frame? That's "Bob Kennedy Gray".

The exhaust is high-heat satin black powdercoat. The wheels are gloss black & clear powdercoated.

Thanks for all the compliments I was in a hurry to get to school this morning and missed this. I haven't posted an update on my 31 model A coupe lately so here ya go. First off at my school you have to do a senior project in order to graduate. While everyone else is learning how to build a bird house and how to make a speaker box for their cars stereo system I'm building a hot rod for mine! About two months ago I finished mocking everything up and tore it all apart and started painting and re-asembling. So far I've got my chasis back together and the motor together and fired it up (sounds wicked by the way!). Heres the specs on the chasis I built the frame out of a set of ASC 32 rails. The motor is a 292 Y-block with a 292 Bullet cam backed to a 3 speed. The rearend is a Halibrand quick change with 36 Ford rear radius rods. The wheels up front are 35 Ford 16" wires wrapped in 6.00 Firestone dirt tacks and 32 Ford 18" wires wrapped with 7.00's in the rear all powder coated gloss black. The headers and all the exhaust is hand made out of manderal bent tubing with Brockman Mellowtone steel packs all powder coated satin black also. I'm making a front spreader bar out of a model A brake rod. The color is 41 Ford Harbor Grey the body will also be the same color. I've got a friend that does upholstery work, He & I are going to do the interior with some distressed leather with some baseball s***ching in it. Harrison is supposed to post some pics for me. Thats all for now back to the shop hopefully I can have the body painted and back on around Thanksgiving. Keith nice to see you here on the HAMB hope you get the 34 soon. Now I got to get back to cl***.

My teachers mouth drop when I told her I was building a car and I had it half done. I can't wait to pull in the school the day I have to present it with the header plugs out!:D

Congrats on a fine start to what I'm sure will be a fine vehicle. I'm sure many people will be very proud the day you drive that to school. With so many kids backing out of responsibilities/committments these days I'm confident you will see this project through. You are going to love the power of that Y-block. The one in the t-bucket (RIP 8.6.06) was only a 239ci and FLEW.

All the girls are going to want to go to senior prom with you to ride in that machine! Or at least I would have wanted to....

Ya'll not going to bring the T-bucket back from the dead? Did yall ever figure out why it locked up?
I don't think their is a girl in my school that would ride with me in it. They'd all rather ride around in some rice burner with a fart can muffler and a sound system that rattles your brains out.

From what it sounds like, Kennedy doesn't have a date yet.

Their loss. When you find that girl who "gets" your car and appreciates you, where you,re coming from and your talent, hold on to her. Modern culture is too fast, too cheap, too pointless. **** em.

Hey! The last thing I built at school (some blubadubba years ago) is this desk I,m sat at!
