UPDATE! toucans 59 ford interior

you got mad skills mr beachbum!

 

got the back panels out and started cleaning all the door handles.

 

Cool - I have a heavy duty machine, no walking foot though...

 

finished the second door panel. Measured, cut and drew out the pleats on the vinyl and started sewing.
I lightly glued the vinyl to 1/2" scrim foam. This helps to hold the vinyl to the foam while sewing. I used a silver sharpie marker to draw the lines.

 

yeah! what he said! you know you want him to use some 1/2 scrim foam on your car!pm the man, he is awesome!

no pic today... bathed a dog, mowed some gr***, sewed some pleats then the rainstorm came. Rain was blowing in through the garage doors so I shut it down for the day. More tomorrow!!!

todays progress... both rear seat inserts sewn up. Cut out the insert for the back rest. Will pattern the rest of the vinyl and sew it up tomorrow.

 

The back seat backrest is done. The insert for the bottom is done just need to template the bolsters (sides of seat). The back will be done tomorrow and maybe the package tray will get done.

it looks so good! thursday i get under the car and get the seat unbolted so it can go in the truck friday night. on my way!
