Been doing a lot of searching on this subject and can't seem to locate any up to date info. I trying to get the exhaust manifold on my 226 flathead 6 split. Nobody I have found does one. I am looking for someone that not only can do it but has done it. Prefer them to be in the midwest. Here is the info I do know. The guy in Kansas is retired from doing them. Saw a thread about someone in Texas, but unable to find accurate contact info. All the Fleabay ads are out of date. If you know of anyone or a shop, website, etc....please reply with accurate, current contact information. I know I am not the only one looking for this info. Thank you.

It's not that hard to do. Any good muffler shop should be able to handle it. It might even be possible to make a bolt on depending how your manifold is configured. Does the exhaust pipe come out at the front, the back, or in the middle?

Traditionally making a split exhaust manifold for a 226 required a car manifold and a truck manifold. The outlets on these are in different places. Cut both manifolds under the carburetor area and weld back together. Look carefully at your motor mounts etc. for clearance before you go this route. I think Reds or someone makes tube headers if you want to go that route.

Remember, for a true "Split", you will need to par***ion the manifold. Otherwise, it is simply a dual outlet.

I looked at red's for a header, could't find them. From what I read combining the truck and car manifolds is a way to go. Anyone have a spare 254 flathead manifold they want to get rid of? 'Mo, understand about splitting, good info though.
