That is some great detail. As a guy who probably just doesn't know what he is looking at. I know allot of people like to box frames for strength with the addition of horsepower. It looks like you have added some horsepower. It also looks like you doubled up the frame rail in the front somehow – but not step boxed – more of a frame in a frame? Is that common? It does look better. Thanks for showing us how it is done.

ford started doing "a frame in a frame" in 33.alot of the ideas came from looking at a 34 ch***is.

    glad you like it.

Do you need to run a front panhard bar when you split the front bones in this manner? I have a 34 pickup and have run out of room to re-mount the unsplit bones, I will be running a F100 box

when you run cross steering you need a panhard rod on the front.

but it sounds like you are steering off the drivers front wheel,in which you dont have the steering forces trying to shift the frame on the shackles.

    hope this helps.

feel free to contact me if you have anymore questions.

thanks glad you like them.i use an air chisel with a machined bit to set the rivets, and back it up with a peice of solid round bar.most of the rivets i did by myself, but they turn out better with someone helping you.
