Coming from the guy that kicked me in the balls with his first post before even introducing himself I would surmise that overexposure to fiberglass and billet makes you slightly irritable.

Not defending the Frankenstien- just going from the string of posts I've read from Mr.Junk.

i posted about the things i sold already, refunds ect.

as for the welding, i used coat hangers because thats what my grandfather used to use. i have pictures of him doing so. i like to think i can step back in time when im working on cars or driving them, i honestly dont like this era.....

You really know how to pick off a nasty scab just when it was starting to heal. Obscurity is your friend- get to know it better.

  7. UMMM your profile states that you are a welder  just wondering.

you gotta have a plan befor you go into this. i was all gun-ho to build a coup myself, then i stepped back and though, "shit, i cant do this, i dont have the tools, the space, the cash" so i waited a year and now i got my 49' F-1, couldnt be more happy with the turn out. 18 and i have a old truck, cant complain.

And that's gas welded? Wow, didn't know anything but a MIG would put down blobs like that on sheetmetal.

From behind the firewall at work, I never got to see the pics.....first time I've checked this thread from home. Wow!

yes i am a welder, the metal isnt at all uniform, some paper thin some thick. some of my gaps werent close.

if anyone has any question about my welds you can ask kevin at hotrod chassis.

im in north hollywood right now, if anyone wants me to come show them id be more then glad to show you. i was working at a place welding heat exchangers for a while, titanium, stainless steel, zirconium. all pressure tested and all were high quality. id like to see any of you guys gas weld a pair of soda can thin metal together with a 00 tip and fucked up regulators, but on top of that its gotta be crazy rusty and you gotta do it fast.
