Has anyone come up with a device that really works to make a ~63 Chevy SS tach accurate yet with electronic ignition ?? Some claim to, but don't work. TKS
Your tach does not care if you have points ignition or electronic ignition. The tach counts the amount of times it fires in X amount of time. One wire goes to ground, one goes to switched power and one goes to the positive side of the coil. If you are running an HEI the wire that goes to the positive side of the coil goes to the pole on the distributer that is marked TACH. If the tach is accurate with points ignition it should be accurate with electronic.
