I am restoring a 1954 F 100 and I would like to upgrade the front suspension to something that gives me a better ride. Is their a bolt on option out there, or something with minimal frame reconfiguration? Thanks Mike
Lots of Jag fronts used on these trucks. 4 bolts, hook up the steering and brakes. Just like TV, come back from commercial and it's done!
Or, just to be different, you could replace the stock springs with de-arched and softened versions of what's in there now. It's be lower and ride much, much better...with no other changes at all. Nah...that'd be too easy. Better to just butcher it up and put an independent under there, eh...?
I drove a 55 Ford F1 cross country a couple of times and I don't remember it riding bad. I would go with the suggestions of fixing your old springs with some new king pins or what ever it takes. The value of the truck will be better and you will be happy in the end. My two cents. Good luck
Crown Vic seems to be the new Jag . Do a little research and see what you think of this swap . Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
