Need some help from people that do this kind of work. Working on my 33 plymouth sedan but model A sedan and several others would be the same. How do you cover the rear rounded corners of these cars? You have your head liner, quarter trim panels and your rear panel that comes up around the back gl***. They all can be cover with a plastic board I used but how do you do the rounded rear part on each side?

If you're already using plastic just heat it and bend it around the corner.

I use upholstery panel board /heavy waterproof cardboard . I install the headline leaving plenty of loose material on the ends first . I then make the back panel one panel around the back window. Then one for each side wrapping around the corner covering the side windows if possible. The side and back panels should make the headliner taunt in the corners .

I used aluminum sheet. Easy to bend plus I had multiple contours on the panel above the rear window. For the plain vinyl panels I used 1/4" foam to cover the aluminum before wrapping with the vinyl. The pleated material already had the padding and didn't need the 1/4" foam. interior.jpg

I'll try and find some plastic panels, the thinner the better, and heat and form them that way. The board I'm using now is plastic but it is made like card board. It'll form one way but not the other. I'll see what I can find or if anyone has any suggestions on where to buy, let me know.

Komotex from Tap plastics. Made my quarter panel in my 29 Coupe easy. It forms with heat from a hair dryer.
