now i know i can't get exact numbers, but i was just looking for a ball park figure on what you have paid, or charged for upholstry.

the car is 60 catalina 2DR. i'm wanting white tuck n roll, (no leather, cause i ain't rich) so, the front and rear seats, the door panels, and the rear panels done in some sort of faux leather. not even sure what the options are.

what should i budget for this? is my tax return gonna cover it, or should i start selling drugs to supplement the cost?

I don't know whether I should share my secret, but ok. If you want uphostery done cheap and well take it to the local prison. Airway Heights Correctional here in Spokane did the seats and door panels for the wayfarer for $500 and that included the foam and the material. They have experienced upholstery guys who teach the minimum security prisoners upholstery as a trade while they're in. They do an excellent job, as good as any upholstery shop. Like I said, they have experienced guys teaching them and the teachers will even do all the work if they think it's a cool project.

You pay tax dollars for them to be in there, they may as well be sewing up tuck and roll for your rod.

Here are some pictures of the upholstery. Sorry about the quality, for some reason my digital camera has decided to not take good pictures anymore. I still need to have an upholstery shop do the headliner and carpet. The carpet that's in there was just temporary for last summer.

The door panel's off the p***enger side because I was installing a solenoid last weekend.

Door Panel (we had them put a pocket in the door panel because there's no glovebox anymore):

I have some friends in prison right now... I remember one of them got to work out in the garden and he was all psyched about it. It's real funny when you see this cat to imagine him out workign with flowers and ****....

I gotta find out the deal with this, because I gotta get crackin on the interior to my chevy... I plan to do the door panels myself, but was gonna have someone else do the tuck'n roll....

I had my '62 Olds 2dr 98 done up real nice in quality cloth and vinyl a few years ago.

The lady that did it worked out of her home shop on Vashon.

Seems to me it was just under two grand?

the guy that upholstered my 56 did a very high quality job. he did both seats, the carpet, the door panels and put in a new headliner. i think it was 1200 bucks. he even cut and sewed in one of those plastic original foot mats on the drivers side. that little feature saves alot of carpet scrubbing time.

I just paid $325 to have my front seat done in white vinyl.. They put new foam in it also... It was a decent job but not for show...(the s***ched lines way a little)..

Once I get done rebuilding my folding rear seat (new wood and refurbishing the hardware) I plan to get it done (was told 350 for it..
