This works for me, and thought this might work for someone else . Believe it is for mid to late '70s Ford, it is 1 1/2" dia. on both ends I got it off Amazon for $22.23. In the pic the hose is just sitting on the engine to see if I will have enough hose after t******* the bottom bend off. My thermostat is a '85 Chevy truck or van, cannot remember, on a Offenhauser 3x2 manifold. The frame is a TCI
Any information on the lower hose part number. I‘ve used sections from old hoses but haven’t come up with a good off the shelf number.
I have a Zips Water Pump Riser on my sbc and am using a Gates #20225, as per HOTRODPRIMER, but I think it is the same general shape as the one Corn Fed is talking about.
I spent days looking and hours trying to fit bits to connect my lower 350 outlet to the radiator in my '31. It drops vertically as well as twists horizontally in just a few inches. Nothing fit. I finally decided to try a non-traditional Cool-flex hose which took less than 10 minutes to cut to fit and install. Pretty much out of sight and, well, there you are.
My '28 A has a SBC short pump on an adapter on a 354 Hemi mounted kinda high in the ch***is. Gates #20242 fits the bottom perfectly: More pics here: Introducing my Fuel Coupe-styled Tudor | Page 9 | The H.A.M.B. (jalopyjournal.com)
Thanks guys. I‘be used the cool flex before and it does work. Going to try the others that were suggested first.
Gates 20225 lower (with zips water pump riser) and Gates 22043 upper, almost/could have used Gates upper 20416.
It's been a while since I did mine, I have a deuce roadster with a 354 hemi and a Hot Hemi Heads adapter to a sbc short pump. I was fortunate that the local autozone let me park my trailer in their lot and experiment . I found that a lower hose for a 78 Chevelle with a 305 darn near fit without t*******. I did trim it for neatness. It works fine for lots of miles, but the number now escapes me.
