upper steering arm...how thick???

  1. allright, i've gotta fab up an upper steering arm for my '27. the hoop type i have wont clear my calipers and i dont really wanna go hacking and grinding at them. i was planning on cutting one out of some crs plate and bending it. how thick a piece ya think i should use?? 3/16"?? 1/4"??
    any input appreciated.

    Go 1/2", but it also depends on the width of the material you are using.

    Better to be 500% too strong than 1% too weak [​IMG]
