Then let them inspect the item, declare value and decide if they want to take the risk of their employees completing the delivery. If they don't want to "take on the job" they can decline and I'll go elsewhere.

I want a parcel to go from point A to point B. They set a rate that I agree on. Once it's slid over the counter, it's out of my control and in their hands to make it happen. They're the self declared EXPERTS at delivering parcels-that's all they do. We shouldn't have to pay them "insurance" for them to come through. If we don't pay insurance we're SOL!?

The consumer paying parcel insurance is enabling the handlers and drivers to do a shit job.

If you paid someone to transport your Hot Rod from point A to point B, would you be willing to pay him insurance $ to make sure the car gets there? You'd go elsewhere figuring he should be self insured/bonded. UPS is big enough to self insure themselves.

  3. I hope you didn't pay it. I got that letter once and told them to pound salt as I already had the package. Never heard from them again....UPS blows dead bears.

Im amazed there are people that use UPS. I've been using USPS on smaller stuff from the states, and FedEx for the bigger stuff for quite a while, and nothing but praise. DHL is quite good too.

Its been 8 years since I last used UPS. If an Etailer only ships via UPS, I'll find another one, even if I have to pay more.

UPS!@#$%^&*(), I've been fighting them for years. Now, when I buy something off that auction site we all know and love, I ask the seller NOT to use UPS. Then, when I leave feedback, I always write, "Thanks for NOT using UPS", print a copy of the feedback page, and send it to the UPS main office. I can play their game too. I want the whole world to know, UPS SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS!!!!! Even their drivers/delivery people agree with me on my assessment of their company. I think they're gonna' hire Obama as soon as he's available. Butch/56sedandelivery.

I bought a car hoist from Vancouver. Some parts were missing. The company got the parts and shipped them to 3635 my street. UPS delivered them to 3533. Good thing I have honest neighbors.

I canceled my FEDEX account because of this. shipped a set of 330 olds pistons over, $200 shipped and they charged him $67 in fees to recieve them , he paid cause he got deal on pistons but then they tried to come back and charge me after he paid then expected me to chase him down for proof , yet they could not in return provide me with the paper work as it was destroyed for being over 90 days old : /
