And I understand all the bodys and all the rest of the stuff from the garage was sold to someone in MN - and I'm guessing it's this guy :

Well, its no 32 3W, but I did find a 36 5W a few years back. Garaged car with juice brakes and a 59AB under the hood. The guy had passed away and his widow was friends with a co-workers wife. I went over on my lunch break, checked it out, and made her a decent, but slightly low ball offer (I was factoring in that it had not run for a number of years). She accepted, and gave me tons of receipts and paper work.
I was leaving for vacation the next day, and asked if I could leave her a deposit. She said not necessary and that the car would be there when I got back in one week.

Long story short, she sold it to her late husbands good friend for double what I offered her later that week... Not cool of her to break her word, but not a lot I could do with no title in hand.

    PAINFUL.

Jive, I've had that happen a couple of times in 40 years. I thought I'd learned a good lesson the first time but after it happening again I've finallly caught on. When you make a deal under those conditions you give the person the money, you get the title and you remove the vehicle even if it means taking a day out of the vacation. Now i wasn't going on vacation in either of these incidences but the facts are the same. The cars had been sitting a long time. no one had made a REAL offer, and I (now pay attention) assumed there wouldn't be any hurry to pick them up because the owners assured me it wouldn't be a problem. To Quote, " no hurry about picking it up, it's been sitting here for years. It isn't going anywhere". Yea right, both cars were gone within a couple of days. Sold to friends of the owners who had known about them for years but made no attempt to buy them other than voice a mild interest. Result, I didn't get a '40 Ford pickup that was probably the cherryist one I've ever seen in unrestored conditon, and a '29 Model A roadster that was only missing the top.
Having owned over 100 cars in my life I've scored some real beauties and gotten killer deals on others but the one's that "got away" always leave a bad taste in your mouth.

    I'd say so.

Shit like that really bothers me. I hate people that buy cars specifically to turn. So if "W0QQsassZdreamdeuce1932" is on here, I guess you know how I feel.

    Those '32s... WOW.

  6. My friend Dick Valenzuela has owned this three window for over 50 years!

Has one of the first Kugle JAG IFS/IRS set ups on the road.

  8. It's better than all of the hoarders that are "saving them for their kids". yea sure:(

  9. I know a "cranky old fart" who's stash of "junk" is being "saved" for his kids (whether he admits it or not). I'm not complaining about it; he can keep on hoarding. :D

Man, I dont know how you could mess with a car like that, as nice as it is, I'd just leave it and drive it... Just the stock look with the flathead is enough to make it a hot rod. The stance isnt even that bad really, for an older style rod. I wouldn't be able to let it sit still, I'd drive it every day if I could... at least he's a nice guy.

I had the same trouble with a guy who kept telling me he would sell me a '64 malibu, then backing out every time. And all he ever does is break it out for a bit every spring and then park it back behind the garage in the open so he can rust out the frame and floor some more. sigh.

KoolKemp called me tonight I took the pics of the orange roundy round 32. I agree its a shame that the car is still sitting in the brush but it belonged to the guys dad after he died It then went to his brother then he died now it belongs to him. To keep you all up dated I will try to get down there tomorow morning and if that dosent work I will try on the weekend. He also has a 30 A coupe with a frontinac head and two strombergs rotting out back and a few other neat pieces witch are also NOT FOR SALE. !!!*&$%#@ If you think your frustrated I have known about these cars for over 15 year and stopped going by out of shere frusration. I know he was offered 8000.00 for the 32 ten years ago and said no.

  16. Yes the owner is a real nice guy and is still enjoying the car when he can.

As far as not doing anything to it, I would put a dropped axle under it and reversed springs front and rear, big and little Firestones, but thats about it.

Then I would jass up the flattie slightly and be done. I certianly wouldn't mess with the body or the interior. IT's perfect as far as a cool old time driver goes.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed for now.

Yeah, I've been chasing a '32 5W lately. A guy I work with swears his buddies dad has the car in the garage. All original, unrestored, 4 banger, still runs. He said they even offered to sell him the car a few years back for somewhere in the niehborhood of $8000.oo. After bugging him about how much I loved '32 Fords, he called the guy about it. He doesn't want to sell it right now. He's apparently afraid someone will cut it up. Hell, I don't think I could cut that car if it's really that nice. I still ask about it often without being a total pest and/or letting on what the price tag on that baby SHOULD be!

Hey Rudy, I know where there is one of those too! Except this one isn't as beat up as the one you found and has never been fixed. The fenders are super nice but up in the rafters. Ha Ha Ha.....and no, it can't be bought either.
