Of course it depends on who you are! If your someone you get help, if not, you sit on the side of the road and wait for your friends or family or worse the tow truck driver!! Leaving the round up this year my buddys 49 shifter locked and clutch went out at the same time! Luckily a couple of guys from the hotel my brother was staying at came by and had a tow strap. This was after 50 or 60 cars leaving had passed us and just stared!
Alex has clout, Im sure he's gonna make it. Good luck!!

I'm waiting for his version of the story but I'd bet it didn't take long to get fixed after it got to where he could fix it and he got the right ball joints. Good to see that he got to the show after all the problems though.

 

I talked with him friday night. He was driving her he told me he kinda wished he had me bring him the ball joints(MOOG) because the ones at salina were cheapies.
Is it the angle they are at that stresses them? or going up and down with bags?

 

Angle

The high angularity of the joint doesn't spread the load out evenly around the ball seats. AND if the angle is too high they will bind and lever themselves apart.
