It may be wise for the original poster to add a note on the first post on the thread that tells the guys who just saw the thread for the first time that the truck was stolen in April so that they won't think it is a brand new thread and post an off the wall comment.

I'm beginning to think that who ever stole the truck had checked it out earlier and knew enough about it to be able to get in and drive it off without making a lot of ruckus. They may also have had a waiting enclosed trailer sitting a block or two away. If it had been driven through Austin at an odd hour someone would remember seeing it headed down the street even if they were way into the brown bottles that night.

its probably all sanded down rolling around on some dirt road in mexico

just going by what was going to happen to the delivery that was recovered.

chances are with this much time from the theft its already a different color and probably below the southern most border

Doubt that it's in Mexico. As our friends across the border have said these are common trucks in Mexico. I still think the best bet is to let the tow truck drivers know there is a reward. Somebody knows something. Trailers take a while to load. Recovery trucks don't have to open doors, and can be gone in less than two minutes. Page 10 BTT.

No license needed to carry a handgun.
In the old days they hung horse thieves.
I think we have gone backwards...
we should be killing car thieves.

Got to keep the hope! Mine was out for six weeks waiting it's turn in a high end chop shop, pure luck, it was found when the place was raided.

Have you tried sending fliers to the Pawn Shops? Offer of a reward may spark some intrest. Just a thought.
