To keep this at the top. When I recovered my stolen pickup, it was because the guy's brother turned him in. Good luck! This will turn out good eventually.

Stay after them. Hope you get your truck back. Public hanging should still be legal !!

Rent a bus when you go down to 'talk' to him. Pick up a small army of HAMBers on your way to Texas. :)

    Do YOU need probable cause?

i would be working on a way to get close to that truck when no one is watching..there you can get your probable cause, and maybe punch someone in the throat..you will know its your truck once you get close enough to it..you will feel it

    get on it now!

Since you may know a "relative" of the theif, maybe a reminder of the reward $$$$ might motivate enough to get "probable cause" and allow the police to do their job. Just a thought. Stu

can you show them(cops) pictures of things on the truck that cant be changed?
    or the Vin#?
or little known things about the truck,,that only you would know about?

I got plenty of neat little things in my A build that no one would ever know..But me.
and I remember every last one.

Do you have a general area of town that it was last seen at? Maybe some of us locals can cruise through the vicinity from time to time. I'm always cruising around on the search for old iron. Feel free to PM an address if you have it.

  15. fingers crossed mike!! If it's still in Austin, then how in the fuck has no one given it up for the reward?

dont put too much pressure on it..it might disapear.

at least dont let "them" know the pressures on

and i ment pictures of "odd things "..a nick in the frame here or there..

using this part , instead of the original part..etc.. you know

  17. Man good luck ive got my blood pumping thiking what id do to the fucks that would take your ride....There are two things you dont mess with in life a mans old lady and his ride....Wish you the best...

  18. I'm excited too, you're hot on the trail. I predict an outcome within 48 hours, lay back and keep an eye peeled. The more eyes peeled the better. If I was closer, I'd come and camp out. Time to call in a few local favors.

Treat them like the horse theifs they are

the cops had their chance..obviously they dont have the stomach for it..

bring them a little bit of Texas Justice

  21. The thieves relative(s) already turned up the heat by demanding it be moved.

    It could vanish anyway!

Its obviously not my truck or my call.

not sure its a good idea to do that here. If someone on here knows something it might give them a chance to change it

I have to admit, I have a moral dilemma here: On the one hand, I sincerely hope the assbag that stole this truck wrecks into a telephone pole at about 90 and the last thing that goes through his mind is his asshole. But that would destroy a sweet truck. On the other hand, I want this dude to get his ride back in one piece, but that would most likely mean the cops found it. They arrest the guy, and not a fucking thing happens to him.....

Somebody throw me a bone here.....

IF I or any locals can help let me know

  29. I've had a brit bike stolen once in Seattle. The club I belonged to started "asking" around every week - local shops, weekly bike meets, poker runs, etc...

It took a couple months and the police found it parked on the sidewalk in front of the Seattle art museum the day of a show opening. It had to have been dropped off the night before it was found since the tank was drained, the carbs and mag had been removed so it couldn't have run.

I think the thieves got tired of looking over their shoulder, heard the story, saw the flyers, etc...
