The Maverick master cylinder went out on my wagon. Is there a US made one available? I'm tired of Chinese **** that doesn't last.

Just did a Wilwood conversion. Made in USA and very high quality. Not cheap but works awesome. Got the one with the integrated proportioning valve and rod with the eye on the end, its the "mustang" kit.

^^^^^^ They make 2 sizes now. This is the longer one. Prestige T-Bird in Santa Fe Springs offer a long heat deflector. 45B0CFE0-2669-449A-8E1E-171050323BE1.jpeg

For something readily available check your local parts stores for rebuilt master cylinders. Most of your older Ford units should have a Bendix stamping on the bottom of them, when we first posted about the dual master conversions we recommended rebuilts in order to get a USA made casting rather than something from China or India. Sadly Raybestos started using Chinese made units about 15 years ago.

I have had good luck with some hard to get cylinders (master and wheel) sending them out to get stainless steel sleeved. Last ones I did were for my Studebaker and they lasted for years, still on the car as I sold the car to a friend. Doesn't help if you don't have a core to do already.

Nosford is right....I bought 4 wheel cylinders from Speedwhy and the chinesium leaked real bad. They sent me 4 more and the same. Took the old ones and had stainless sleves installed and no leaks for about 10 yrs now. It cost me the same for the sleves as it did for the new ones

I have used the Raybestos 87 Ranger units on a couple cars over the years and never had a problem with them.....so far.... If the money is there I'd buy the Wilwood unit, another benefit is their proportioning valve bolts right on. I had to make my own bracket and lines. FWIW, it is 15/16 bore. This is my 64 Galaxie with 4 wheel drums but I have the same one on my 56 as well. I used to use the old steel Mustang unit but they look like **** in a few years, The aluminum ones wash right up nice and clean and look new for a long time.

I've got that unit on my hydroboost. It came from a '02 Mustang Cobra because it had a larger 1 1/8"(?) bore, which is what I needed.
I can't tell from your pic...does it have TWO bleed screws on the right side?
