Event Coverage US Nationals Tailgating/Camping

Can anyone give me any advice/information on tailgating/camping at the US Nationals? I was thinking about camping/sleeping in the parking at the main entrance. Last year there were some people setup with a Blackstone fixing breakfast and thought it would be a fun experience for my son for us to do something similar??
