    The centers come out easy if you drive them out from the front with a big hammer. They push the centers in from the back and they wedge in.

    Spot welded ones are tough. You need a big drill ground to a flat angle and drill away the weld on the rim. Do not penetrate thru the center. Then you can drive the centers out but the rim is more or less ruined, at least it is easier to just get another rim.

    You have to decide if you want to save the rim or center.

    ^^^^ I use a stepper bit on spot welds and do drill all the way thru.
    Simply clocking the center slightly to the right when ***embling allows you to weld to fresh metal on the rim from the center side as well as weld to fresh metal on the center from the rim side. You get twice the welds/strength..


    Works very well.

    What? No dial indicator?

    This post makes me feel like going to hunt up some front-wheel-drive wheels and modifying the back spacing.
