I just got off the phone with Sheriff Newman, he told me that he turned this case over to an investigator or something like that. He did comment on how he was getting calls from all over the u.s. about ****bag joe. yesterday the sheriff called joe, who said he was going to make everything right but you all know he has a million stories........ I suggest calling the sheriff (if you didn't already)and give him your name and number...... he told me " I'll add you to the list".......WE ALL NEED TO GET ON THAT LIST.
UPDATE , I just got off the phone with my Dallas Lawyer contact , Tom VanAmvurgh. Tom agrees this may be Federal . {i.e. multi state , internet / mail fraud is a Federal offense}. Which will equal prison for Joe . He is working on giving us the correct procedure / route information. In the meantime I encourage all parties to get a hold of anybody , any tips, rumors and facts of this criminal behavior and relay it to : Sheriff Newman @ 409 384 5417 or Officer Duncan @ 409 489 6662 The Federal Officers will work with the local Sheriffs authority. I have been told Joe Grey has stolen from people on Craigs list and Hot Heads . We need this information . We need to step up !
Here's an update. Joe disconnected his home phone today. It rang yesterday, but today it says "the number you have dialed is no longer in service....." I guess Joe got tired of my 30 phone calls every night between 11pm and 3am. I think Ryan has a good idea about the local paper. Anyone know if there's a paper in Buna?
Also, I, myself, corresponded with Mr. Grey via email off of a Craigslist ad. I may still have the email. It went nowhere, because I decided not to purchase the item(s). However, here is some useful federal information: The Postal Inspection Service investigates and prosecutes individuals and agencies for mail fraud. The Postal Service also has an agency that deals with these issues called the Office of Inspector General. They typically deal with internal issues, but may deal with this. Their responsibilities have changed in the past few years, so I'm not sure. It sounds the same, but it isn't. Mr. Grey may or may not have committed any "mail" crimes, but they would be the ones to contact. I will post links following. Mail Fraud complaint form. elwood007 is right....that facebook is not the Joe Grey we are after. I've talked with someone in Buna that knows him and the description I get is short, stocky, with tattoos and long sandy-brown hair. I checked facebook a month ago when the **** went down and found 2 people with the last name Grey that went to Buna High School. That's it though. I wish I had a picture of Joe.....I need a new target for my 50 cal.
i say lets round up as many of us as possible and go to his house, take all he has there, divie it up between all whos been ****ed by him, i been in his house, he had lots of blower stuff layen around.... some nailhead stuff, and a couple engines.. i need help loading ... anyone ????
I don't think that is the greatest course of action yet... Ha-ha. How would you divide a blower equally three ways to everyone he has sold it to? It makes me sick to think that he uses hard earned scam money to buy these parts, take pictures of them, only to keep collecting more parts to scam more people with! It burns my *** just thinking about it. Did everyone itemize what they "bought" and how much money was sent to him? Didn't I read that a new thread was started stricly for that do***entation only?

OK , sorry guys and gals , I dropped the ball for a bit . Been some challanges in this corner. I've been in contact with our Dallas Lawyer . He's still inquiring as it is somewhat outside his arena . He is willing to help "pro bono" at this time/ pace. It does appear to be a Federal case to him . This next step is important for case evidense He has asked us to get involved with these 3 web sites : 1 : Internet crime complaint center 2 : Internet fraud FBI 3 : cybercrime.gov US Department of Justice We gotta keep working together on this . If we fill out the forms on these sites , they can and will be used against him .
I just filed my complaint on the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) website. It walks you through the process very easily, but it will take a few minutes to really describe all the details. Everyone, PLEASE take those few minutes to give your information. Don't let this guy keep getting away with it. The website for the complaint form is: http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx DO IT! I can't find anything relevant on the other two sites....they just revert back to the IC3 stuff. If you can figure out how to get the Secret Service involved or what we need to file a complaint with them please post it so we can all do that, too.
This is it folks ! GO TO THIS IC3.gov SITE and get it on ! This is all about the FEDS. I just filed and directed them to the list but they {we all} need your individual claim. These folks will take Joe down . PLEASE , GET ON BOARD .
I spoke with Officer Duncan today and he's getting the case together to present to a judge. He's compiling all of our information, both from our phone calls and from here on the HAMB, and presenting it to find out if the judge will pursue criminal charges or if it will be strictly civil. PLEASE, IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY POSTED YOUR SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON THE THREAD FOR VICTIMS OF JOE GREY, DO SO ASAP. We need all the victims we can get to build a stronger case. Officer Duncan said he would be swinging by Joe's place in the next couple days to see what the "story" is now. I mentioned that I, as well as a few other HAMBr's, would like to fly down and visit Joe personally and he said to wait a bit and let him try to get things straightened out before we spend our money. He did ***ure me that Joe wasn't going anywhere. Anyway, that's where things stand as of today. I know this whole thing is taking a while, but don't give up hope or lose interest. It could take a lot more time to finally see something done, but if we all stay focused and diligent we can make Joe pay for his ******** and hopefully save others from going through what we are. Like I said, if you haven't contacted Officer Newman or posted on the "victims of Joe Grey" thread please do so to strengthen our case.
I called Sheriff Newman this morning. He said :"He {joe grey} is STILL doin this fraud" He is still getting NEW callers from all over the country. He still has officer Duncan investigating. He thought nothing could be done unless we filed in his county. I explained the Jasper county DA's comments. I think enough is enough . Long story short... I firmly pleaded with him to take action as an officer of the Law. With a known , continuing criminal in his county . He agreed and said it would be easier to go arrest him and throw him in jail , and quite getting all these phone calls . DAMN ! Can you beleive it? He was going to go talk to the Judge. Dallas Lawyer Tom says the crime web thing is slow . Too slow , I say if the swamp-billy ***** is still stealing good peoples money and the cops know about it ! DMFB, I'm not surprised actually. Joe makes a living off of online cl***ifieds. He probably even has the money for the welder....$500 of which is mine. Make sure he brings CASH and pays in full before you let him off your property. If he does come look at it, would you mention that all of us on the HAMB that he's screwed would like our money back? If you could get video of his face when you tell him that would be sweet too.
