Maybe that Vega was built to meet a SCTA cl***. There was one with a Hudson six that ran at El Mirage. And I have run mine with GMC six power, 460 Lincoln/Ford power, 455 Pontiac power, 392 Chrysler power and now with the 363 inch Packard. Still not really a HAMB car.

If anybody wanted to buy the Vega for the motor, you could get rid of the body pretty quick by joining the V8 Vega mailing list. There's always guys in the northeast and upper midwest looking for builders.

Speaking from experience, Vegas really aren't bad cars once you get the stock motor out of them. They are prone to rust, but so is every other GM product up through about the mid 90's.

Don't know if I woulda swapped a flattie into a Bronco II, either, but it's an upgrade over the stock drivetrain to be sure.

    Funny!

The Vega is dumb, but I like it. Would definitely be the highlight of my local cruise night.

That is one of the most hilarious vehicles of all time! Funny and sad at the same time.
