Anyone know where I can find info. to figure out my V.I.N. I've looked all over the internet and all I can find is the info. for T/F trucks. I can't seem to find anything for C.O.E.s. The guy told me it was a 55 and the pictures I see say different. Split windshield and wind wings on mine and the grill is not 55.
    Thanks Hank

Do you have the vin? If so, post it and it will get decoded. If not, find the plate or tag. Did you look on the frame rail for the stamped number.
    Regards, Mark.

Oops, that is the tag on the driver's door post. No I didn't look for the frame stamp.

  5. Did you know that 55 was a split year for GM trucks? Early series looked like the 54s, late series was a complete new design.
Also, back then there was no such thing as a "vin number", it was called a serial number.

I sent G/M Heritage Center an E Mail. Everything I've found on line doesn't jive with my numbers.
