Projects V12 engine runs!

    Here is my restored American LaFrance V12 engine running.
    It is based on the Lycoming "BB" engine used in Auburn Automobiles 1932-34
    This is in the Chassis for my 1932 Brougham
     
  2. Looks good and sounds sweet! Has a very distinct "aviation" sound to it. :cool:

    I'll bet if you revved it up on a quiet night I could hear it clear down here in Ft. Wayne!

    Summers- actually found it about 2 years ago near Grand Rapid in a craigslist ad under "ratrod project" (of all things)
    ...And it does have a distinct sound to it- hard to describe, kind of like an airplane engine.
    currently I only have it running on one set of plugs, and I am curious if the exhaust note changes when running two.
    "Shout-out" to BUBBAS ignition, he rebuilt both distributors and I could not be happier!
