Hello all. Can you tell me what the weight and dimentions are on a V8 60? I've seen the page with the bigger flathead in it, but it isn't the same as the 60. I'd like to know the length, width, and height as well as the weight. I saw one at the Reno-Fernley raceway about a year ago, in a Crosley hotshot. The guy had blown the waterpump so he wasn't racing. I'd like to have heard it run.

Ive heard that they are around 400lbs, and i'll vouch for that 'cus i picked one up a few months back. they're roughly 18" edge of head to edge of head, pan to carb flange 21" and around 30" from the end of the distributer to the end of the integrated bellhousing.

All of these are aproximate, because mine is kinda buried

Thanks ****gy. Thats about whet I suspected. I've been kicking around the idea of a V8 60 in a motorcycle. I know it's been done, but I want to add a front drive ****** to mine(still drive the rear wheel via chain after locking the drive). I've got the bits except the engine. The 85hp and later flatties are all too big and heavy. This one would be bad enough.

****gy's measurements were great considering he had limited access to his engine, here are some photos with the tape, 15" edge of head to head, 25 1/2" front of block to end of block/bellhousing. In comparisom a full size ford flat heads measurements are 5" more for each measurement.

excellent. Thanks for the help all. I had seen the Honest Charlie bikes, and had heard of the guy who actually built them (on another forum). I always thought they were very cool. I am gathering parts so it may take awhile. I have a couple of other irons in the fire right now. A bobber bike, and a Morganesque 3 wheeled reverse trike with front wheel drive.
