Yes it will fit. I am sure not without a bunch of busted nuckles. You may want to search around in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. There is a tubbed bug eye sprite thet I see on Sunday nites at a local cruise. It has a 283 with a 4 speed standard. A very wild car.

I like the result. Subtle, not in your face with crap out of the bonnet a mile high. Looks like a real weapon.
Remember when the NASCAR Busch series cars ran V 6's ? A fellow here has one of the those engines in a later Midget. He autocrosses it quite succesfully. Runs an auto and a narrowed chevy II rear end.
