So this weekend we turned up the heat on Visors, and Regular JD's 32 coupe project. Friday we got together at Visors shop and knocked the cobwebs off the 32. This weekends agenda was to get the engine in, and get the body mounted. And guess what we got that achieved so it was a good weekend. Friday we worked on getting the engine in the car, and getting the firewall filled. Some savages shot the thing with what looked like a 10 gauge slug gun. The little Chevy that could (283) is hooked to a 39 toploader via a Crager adapter. The closed driveline ends at the Halibrand Quickchange rear. The 283 is sporting a couple 97's on top of a cast iron manifold with a Wiend adapter. Today we installed the firewall squared up the body and welded in the subrails that Jerry had made. After the body was mounted it was time for JD to try out his ride by sitting in it and making vroom vroom sounds. It was a good productive weekend. Mike comes over to check on my progress with the subs,,,(ignore the fact that Im not wearing a helmut). Hey wait a minute its not Miller time yet... Always time for a quickie... JD checking out the fit on his hot rod...and making vroom vrooms. I had a great time this weekend, hangin and building with my brothers. Bonneville 07 or Bust.

Yup, smuggled it back in the door jambs, on top of the leaf springs, under the door sills. Anywhere it'd go and a few places I never thought it could get. Life is good.
only one question... why is James Dean hiding behind the drill press? we have GOT to get the whole Vagabonds brotherhood together in spring for a reliability run... thats not an opinion, its a need! hehe
Sparks were flying everywhere this weekend. Nothing like a bunch of buds working on an old hot rod. Regular JD can't wait to drive it to Bville. Varoooooooooooom!
