There ya go - think INside the box again., ha, ha
I think sorta the idea of the post was about considering something different.
Sure, I love Packard and LaSalle grills just like everybody else, but the thing is that we've all seen plenty of them by now, so to see this custom with its mostly stock grill, it is more interesting to see something that you don't see all the time - something different.
    Restraint - like they say.
It's not necessary to always make the same choices to pull off a nice looking car.

Wow, never knew about this. Guess I have to look through my old magazines, if it ever made it into print I guess it qouldn't be to hard to spot a fourdoor 1940 buick with merc grille and shell

Absolutley beautiful custom, a true testement to less is more.Restraint is difficult in this day and age as people try to out custom each other. But this ride is amazing as it draws you in and keeps your interest.Nice post.

Rod just send me a new photos of Neil's 1940 Buick... Rather fuzzy photo... but very interesting. Hopefully there will be some more photos of this car around.

    The whole photo

And an enlarged section from it.

  9. Here's one that belongs to my friend from San Diego. I always thought it was a 36 Ford, but it's not. Not sure what year it is...
