I got a set of the same valve covers as Plowboy, I was gonna paint over the embossed "R" with a "M" just to be cute. I hadn't decided whether or not to run them on my SBC until I saw this post... Now I am. Besides, they'll match my Caddy air cleaner perfectly... FTS I'll save the Cal Customs for another time.

The valvecovers on the 327 in my 47 Chevy say Edelbrock but it's actually a Chevy engine!!! Maybe some folks just like the looks of the rocket covers.

What about people who put a differant grill shell on the car or a "tractor" grill shell!!! Are thet also GAY?? Most people that hate switching of valve covers only hate it because of their own lack of knowledge. People do not like to be fooled. Most "car guys" can hardly tell an Olds or a Caddy apart.

Hmmm.....In some countries where you have a lot of trouble with red tape to get a vehicle street legal and registered with that ah so powerfull V8 flatmotor you might even go on with all the trouble and fitting your a-bone with deuce frame, tank, and grill shell and register it as a deuce (the first year with V8) How gay is that...? Hell yeah, the " Dark Knight" is what it said on the trunk. THe plastic bell bottoms on it weren't period correct. I graduated high school in 89 and only minitrucks had bell bottoms ( ground effects ) then. Plowboy, I had a great time talkin to ya sat night. THe Lander is everything that I expected and looked killer when you left to go to Trophy's. Definately one of the highlights of the weekend. Soon as I get some bills paid down I will definately buy a shirt if you don't mind shipping one.

Funny that no one bitches about a Cadillac/Olds air cleaner on ANYTHING but they will bitch about Olds valve covers on anything but an Olds. No one can tell me that the Caddy/Olds air cleaner isn't as easily recognizable as a set of embossed Olds valve covers. I'm so fond of the simple Chevrolet script stamped steel & early Corvette valve covers that I'll probably never run anything else. That doesn't mean I have to bash a guy who runs Olds valve covers on an SBC.... I'm going to drive my car now. JH

I thought your car looked fuckin' unbelievable, and I could give a shit less about the valve cover crap. I actually argued with a buddy of mine on Sat. night at Trophys about it for a long time. Alcohol and differing opinions, good times. Keep building kick-ass cars, and put whatever valve covers you want on 'em!
