Hey guys i'm looking for a set of "finned" valve covers for my 292. Really don't want to spend a couple hundred on ebay. Just wondering if anyone has a set laying around?

I found my cal custom ones on ebay for like 60 bucks, but I had to wait a few weeks to win them. No extras laying around though, sorry!

They are tough to find used . I know John Mummert has some no name finned ones but cost over $200 . I know there were a few companies that made them back in the day but most get a good price for them . There is the big swap meet and show in Hershey coming up next month . I am not sure where you live but this is the biggest show on the east coast by far ! Well worth the trip . Will take 3 days to run through the show !
Try putting out a wanted post on the Wanted section and see what come up . Allot of people look there more than here . Also try the Y block group here and the --Y blocksforever site .

Y Blockhead , nice looking y block you have there ! What size Y block and what size cam are you running ?
Your valve covers look the same as the ones Mummert sells and about the same price .

Jim, It's a .030 over '57 312" (~318") with a Clay Smith Cam, # escapes me right now. It has 1.6:1 Dove Roller rockers also.
I think the valve covers are the same, John sells some items under his roof made by others, for instance the C-4 adapter he sells is actually made by Flat-o Products.

I'll snap a picture of mine with offys on it to get you inspired. My price was right on them, as they were lying around on a spare engine at my house. No more spares though, sorry! Check ebay, there are some neat ones on there, but the Moon ones and Offy ones look great but are pricey.
