I have a nice new set of Mopar performance green stripe valve springs I would like to use on my 273. However the springs have no dampers(bought online)
Is there anywhere I can get just the dampers?
Thank you for the knowledge as always

Are they supposed to have dampers? Some engines use them, some don't. Stock replacement springs for the 273 don't appear to use them.

not sure Jim, I checked out MP and it says they come with dampers. I may go with a different set of springs. for 50 bucks it doesn't seem worth the worry.
By the way Im working on a 64 Barracuda

If the car is an around town cruiser with no high rpm, hot rod driving, yea, not a big deal.
If the car will be driven hard (over about 4500rpm), then yea, might be worth buying springs with dampers.
You'll NEED to check the spring retainer too. Some retainers are made for dampers...some are not.

What cam is in the engine ? If it's new, just buy the springs recommended for the cam by the manufacturer.
