Broke a valve spring on #7 intake, have a new set with new seals, keepers and retainers.

What problem would i have if I just changed both valve springs on #7 for now and within a month or so changed the rest?

other issues with the valves one spring just cracked.

If it was me I would just have everything checked out. Have the correct spring rate for the cam and check to see if you are having coil bind.

The old springs were the correct springs, they are old, as they sat on the heads comepressed for about 20+ years.

The new ones are also correct, per the cam specs.

I know they need replacing but I want o drive this weekend and wondered if it made a difference.

Change all the ones you can . Your just going to break another one if not .

  5. New springs or New Engine !! You pick !! Sounds like your old springs have gagged and you are on borrowed time. So far you've been lucky as in it hasn't gulped a valve YET !! Stop while you still have an engine left and change all of the springs >>>>.
