Always thought it was funny that they crashed a Camaro in the end not a challenger.

I'd think that would be a good thing considering.

No they didn't crash the hero car.

I had an uncle that bought one, 440 6-pak, right after the movie came out. A couple years later, my family visited and he gave my dad and I a ride. We drove from Port Lavaca to Victoria, Texas in what seemed like 10 minutes. I was only about 13, but I remember my dad laughing his *** off and yelling to go faster.:D VERY good memories of that car.

There was a 1997 remake with Viggo Mortenson that was on Fox.

As much as I love the original I wanted to really hate it.

I couldn't. In fact I enjoyed it. In some aspects I believe it was better.

Even without 10 minutes of bare ***ties on a dirt bike.

While we're on the subject, how many have seen TWO GUNS yet ?
Movie starts with Denzel and Mark W. wheeling around in a '69 -'70's Challenger. VERY nice car, not a show car, but they make it sound like a HEMI.
I whispered to Wifey, "I hope they don't trash that car !"
GREAT GUY MOVIE, (but my Wifey liked it - she liked Dirk Diggler too)!

Thanks it comes on at 9:15 here. I'll turn it on after the football game. I've been wanting to see it again. The newer one was on a couple of weeks ago. Not as good.

I've always enjoyed the "finding freedom on the road" films made around that time period. As good as "Two lane Blacktop" is, this is better because I didn't have watch it twice to get it.:D

Think I'll pop in "Easy Rider' afterwards. Wish this had come on Saturday. It's supposed to rain all that day and it would have been perfect for a roadster shut in.

Not to change the subject but I was always kind of sweet on Dirty Mary. :) It's a good movie also.

When I was younger, she would have been a "dirty leg". That's a girl you can call any time of the night and she'll invite you over. Ahhh, those germ free early 80's.
