Vapor locking?

    This is the third car I've had that vapor locked. The first one was a 69 ss 396 and second was a 70 GTX. Wood close penns fixed both of them and the filter with a return seems to have fixed this one. Wish they would fix themselves. Big block chevies are notorious for vapor locking. TP

    Wooden Clothes pins! Thats what I was trying to remember! They work like a heat sink. Glad you're getting down the road.

    Exactly what I was going to recommend...Gas boils at a relatively low temperature,so if the hardline for the fuel is too close to the motor vapor locking will be a problem..We had this on a '68 Dart sedan...All we did when at a stop light was give it a hard rev to blow the vapors out of the lines until we could get it back home to relocate the fuel line..
