I really wanted to make it to the Vargo Reunion this year. Can't make it though. Going to the Dover reunion at Island that was rained out last weekend. Wheelies at Island??? Show at Vargo??? Tough choice, both good, but I'd rather hang the hoops at Island. It sucks that mother nature did this to us but that's the way it goes. Hope the conflicts don't hurt either event.

I'll be there, but not with my ride. I have to correct a few things for the enhanced vehicle inspection thing. Very frustrating that, after three years of building, I missed the last good local event of the year. Wah!

I hope to come. I think I only missed one year, last year when it was nice.
I guess it is up to Mother Nature. THat is a long hart 65 mi with no roof or heat if the weather isn't at least fair. Blue Mt is alfull cold at & AM and 5PM going and comming and hauling it just isn't as much fun.
Put me in the "maybe" I hope column.

Neat! Anyone remember a guy named Skeet Spanniger? I THINK that was his name. My dad used to turn wrenches for him eons ago. They raced a lot at Vargo (from what I'm told since I wasn't even around then). He had an early rail running a big ol hemi in it. :D

  17. HEY GUYS
JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH THE GUY WHO IS PUTTING ON THE SHOW,DUE TO ALL THE WET WEATHER THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH PARKING
AND THEY WILL NOT RESERVE ANY SPOTS FOR ANY ONE!THE ONLY WAY WE CAN PARK AS A GROUP IS TO ARRIVE ALL TOGETHER, SO WE COULD ALL MEET UP AT ONE LOCATION AND HEAD OVER AS A GROUP I WAS THINKING WE COULD MEET AT ONE CENTRAL LOCATION -I THINK THERE IS A DAIRY QUEEN RIGHT WHERE YOU MAKE THE TURN ONTO ELEPHANT ROAD,WE COULD MEET THERE SAY 7:30 AND HEAD OUT AT 8:00 AM
ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRICATED

    Wear your boots.
It is a cornfield after all.

Maybe they should keep the classic 78 ford fairmonts off the runway (track) area, they have more room for stuff like GEORGE T Gs authentic rod.

HOTROD SURFER I think your camaro while not HAMBish is vintage for Vargo. It belongs more than a lot of other stuff that shows up.

But you drive in and they still ask if you want to show, $15 nobody gets turned away, so its democratic, kinda like drag racing would've been back then. But sooner or later they're gonna have to put some stipulations in just to fit evr'body. But no matter how much of a "car show" it turns into, it's still a really cool car show in a "lost dragstrip" setting in the farm and woods. How many of those you think are around and capable of holding a show?

For a guy with a lot of opinion, I'll be there just a spectatin. Enjoying the scenery.

Not just because of my car being "OLD" but I like the way they do it at the Upper Bucks rod show, Old orignal has its row, up to 50's or early 60's (not sure where) parks on the outskirts.
I did almost get chaised one year about 10:00 - 10:30 the guy at the "gate" said it was full. It was way too cold that year for me to leave at 6 or 7 AM and I don't think it ever toped 40 deg that year. There is other shows were I am told "we will make room for you". Different when you are around the corner but when you you travel 50 or 100 mi it's rough being there early.
The track should be reserved for stuff older that the date the track closed. Keep the 80's & 90's stuff out in the corn field or at least along the Pumpkin patch on the right were you come in.
Biggest problem is Joe doesn't have enough help
    GEORGE!!:)

I still hope to make it but don't look for me to be too early. They are calling for high 20's during the night up here and as you can see my car is a bit draftey.
    GEORGE!!

Sounds good. If things don't get screwed up work and weather wise I'll be there. I had a guy call last week about hauling 2 old Dodge trucks back from near State Colage to Colmar but didn't call today as he said. At this point if he calls I'll try to get him to do it Sun but if I cant money is money.
    GEORGE!!

  28. Looking like a daytrip for me from Delmarva. It's 3 and 1/2 hours so don't save a spot for me. I'll find the banner when I get there. Probably driving Fury since it has HEAT.

  29. no problem jack,if you want to park with us we will make room
for you we had to make extra room for hamb guys last year
