Hot Rods VDO 701-1718 Speedometer

I have a VDO Speedometer sold by NAPA in their box. It's an 85 MPH mechanical with an odometer, VDO number 701-1718. I can't find information on it ANYWHERE. That includes the VDO site and NAPA. Anyone out there know how old this is or have any information on it? With the apparent rarity, what do you all suppose it's worth. Found at an estate sale new, in the box. Thanks!

 

When I had an issue with the VDO electric water temp gauges in my flathead I called VDO tech support directly. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Might be worth a call.
