Technical Vega steering box question?

Has anyone in the group ever used a Vega steering box in a cowl steering setup?

I recall someone tried it with mixed results,I seem to recall something about reversing the direction.

They just were not designed for that application. HRP

 

This was just asked a few weeks ago, didn't go well.....

But, might I suggest you read a thread by fellow Hamb'er Pete Eastwood. Search for the thread "Cowl steering... just stop!"

It may give you more food for thought than you want.
