Good grief ! The Vega box is 1/3 that size. There are a couple different ratios. With a "big" steering wheel like a '46 Ford unit, use the quick ratio.

considering you are in the uk.
the mk1 jeep Cherokee available here uses what you have but situated for right hand drive
    the pitmann arm you need is a 6'' one from a power 70-80 camaro - I have a nos one 1 1/8
IT WILL HAVE THE CORRRECT orientation - so you are not turning the wrong way, the pitmann points straight ahead.
the good thing about the camaro pitmann, it uses the same 7 degree taper as early ford for ball joints
right hand drive steering arms for 37-40 spindles available from so cal
    steel polished stainless raw stainless
    superbell also make some
also, the universal joint on the factory Cherokee to the box is great, the first part of the shaft is sliding 'i.e. no welding on steering part'
the second joint features a factory resonance remover
heck i'd even run the steering column...…
ahem - I've done this, so you don't, even though a Cherokee uses the 11/16-18 tpi ball joints, the pins are longer, so you would have to run a 1/2 inch washer on them - can't fit the split pin
